Crafte Training Scheme (CTS)
The primary goal of this scheme is to cultivate a workforce of semi-skilled workers tailored to meet the needs of various industries. By providing targeted training, the scheme enhances jobseekers' employability, whether they seek wage employment or aspire to start their own businesses.
This initiative is executed across the state through a network of 63 government-run Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and 596 private Industrial Training Institutes (PITIs). To maintain high-quality training standards, the Directorate conducts regular inspections to ensure compliance with the guidelines established by the Director General of Employment & Training (DGE&T), a division of the Ministry of Labour, Government of India.
The ITIs are designed to produce a skilled workforce capable of meeting the evolving demands of modern industries. The training provided is continuously updated to align with technological advancements and the expanding body of industry knowledge. Our ultimate objective is to ensure that the skills imparted by these institutions meet global standards, setting a benchmark of excellence for our technicians.
